In the past few years, QIBEBT has established a standardized and systematic system for the creation, protection, application and transformation of intellectual property rights. It has formed a team of intellectual property specialists composed of 3 patent agents, 10 intellectual property specialists of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 35 intellectual property specialists of the Institute.
By the end of 2020, a total of 1358 patents have been applied, including 1265 invention patents, 511 authorized patents, and 28 PCT applications. The institute had been selected as the first batch of pilot units for patent quality improvement in Qingdao.
In 2016-2018, the patent innovation ability ranks first among the top 50 universities and research institutions from Qingdao for three consecutive years. The number of authorized patents ranks first in research institutions of Shandong Province in 2018 and 2019.
In 2019, it passed the national standard examination and certification of the code for intellectual property management of scientific research organizations (GB / t33250-2016). It is one of the first scientific research institutions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shandong Province and Qingdao city to pass the national standard certification.
QIBEBT adheres to the development concept of "Based on Qingdao, Serving Shandong and Radiating the whole country", develops resources, arranges achievement transformation network platform, strengthens cooperation with various cultivation centers, branches and achievement transformation platforms of QIBEBT, and promotes deep integration of technology, capital and industry.
Through the construction of policy system of achievement transfer and transformation, the construction of platform carriers such as pilot test and industrial cultivation base, the cultivation of professional talents of intellectual property and achievement transformation, and the establishment of achievement transformation fund with social capital, the ability and level of achievement transformation are continuously improved.
By the end of 2020, the Institute has established substantive cooperation with more than 200 enterprises in various forms, including cooperative R & D cooperation, technology licensing, technology transfer, and the establishment of industrialized companies. The technology contract transaction volume has been in the forefront of research institutes in Qingdao for many years. In the past five years, we have realized the transformation of nearly 20 achievements, and established 8 industrialization companies in cooperation with leading enterprises such as Qingdao Huatong Group, Langyatai group, and Hanhe group, among which: the biological natural gas industrialization project is supported by the Hongguang plan of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the industrialization company established in cooperation with Huatong Group has been listed in the blue ocean equity trading center; The projects of microalgae producing DHA, astaxanthin, high-yield lipid-lowering drug precursor (Monacolin J), biological preparation of new pesticides, fuel cell bipolar plate, etc. are jointly implemented with leading enterprises such as Haizheng group, Lukang group, Langyatai group and Hanhe group.
