Porous Catalytic Materials Group
Introduction

Porous Catalytic Materials Group is mainly oriented to the fields of biomass energy conversion and electrocatalysis, focusing on the key bottlenecks in the synthesis of high-efficiency and high-selectivity catalysts, combining basic, forward-looking and applied research to develop novel strategies of green, atomically economic, precise and controllable catalyst synthesis and new technologies of catalyst macro preparation, providing technical support for China's chemical industry and sustainable energy development. In recent years, this research group has undertaken a number of national, Chinese Academy of Sciences’, provincial and municipal research projects, and has gained a series of major research fruits with independent intellectual property rights in related fields.

Director of Center/Group
Prof. WANG Guanghui
Wang Guanghui, Professor, doctoral supervisor, leader of porous catalytic materials research group, Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He obtained a bachelor's degree from Zhejiang University of Technology in 2006, received a doctorate from Dalian University of Technology in 2012, worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Max Planck Coal Institute, Germany from 2012 to 2017, and won the Turk Prize from Max Planck Coal Institute in 2016 Turck-Preis 2016). In 2017, he was selected into the national overseas high-level talent introduction plan and returned to work in China. His research field mainly involves the design and synthesis of porous catalytic materials and their application in the fields of biomass energy conversion/electrocatalysis. In recent years, a series of innovative results have been achieved in related fields. The main papers have been published in famous international academic journals such as Nat. Mater, Mater. Today, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chem. Mater., Chem. Rev., etc. on.
