Thermochemical Conversion Group(TCCG) was established in 2008, and currently it has 15 scientific researchers. More than 90% of them have doctor's degree. The group research focuses on gasification/pyrolysis of biomass/coal/combustible solid waste, syngas to liquid fuel, CO₂ Capture and storage. TCCG is initiatively dedicated to the promotion and facilitation of sustainable solutions to the energy problems, and has made many efforts on synthesis of high-quality liquid fuels by biomass gasification. At present, TCCG has developed a key technology for production of high-quality jet fuel from biomass gasification via low-carbon olefins and the laboratory verification for this technology has been completed, meanwhile a 100 tons/year pilot plant is under construction.
