Energy Plant Improvement Group
Introduction

Energy Plant Improvement Group focuses on the study of mechanisms on developmental regulation and environmental adaptation of energy plants, Miscanthus and sorghum, and the model plant Arabidopsis.

Prof. LI Shengjun
Professor LI Shengjun received his B.S degree at Shandong Agricultural University in 2003 and got the master degree at Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2008. He obtained the Ph.D degree at Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology (CAS) in 2012. After that, he performed the postdoctoral research at Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology (CAS) and University of Nebraska-Lincoln. From 2018, he has working in Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), CAS, as the group leader of Energy Plant Improvement Group.
Research Interest
1. Molecular mechanism of plant growth and development;
2. Epigenetic regulation mechanism of plant stress tolerance;
3. Transcriptional regulation mechanism of plant secondary metabolism.

Research Fields
1. Energy plant improvement; 
2. Genetic regulation of plant development and stress adaptation.
