Introduction of Lecturers:  

 Dr. Yonghao Ni is the Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Pulp and Paper Science and Engineering; he is the chair of the department of chemical engineering, and the professor in chemical engineering and chemistry, and he is also the director of Limerick Pulp and Paper Centre in University of New Brunswick. Prof. Ni obtained his B. Eng. in Northwest Inst. of Light Industry in China, and then he obtained his Master degree and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in McGill University in Canada. He is the Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering. He also is the fellow of Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada, and the fellow of Canada Institute of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry. He received many international awards in Canada, China, USA, Australia, etc. like “International Collaboration Award of Hunan” in China, David Wetherhourn Award of TAPPI in USA, Howard Rapson Memorial Award of PAPTAC in Canada, and so on. Up to now, he has directed research projects for over 70 undergraduate students, over 80 graduate students, 13 research assistants/associates, and over 60 Postdoctoral fellows/visiting scholars. He published almost 300 scientific papers in refereed journals, authored over 100 publications in conference proceedings and 46 reports to 17 companies, covering pulping, bleaching, lignin chemistry, carbohydrates chemistry and wet-end chemistry. He also provided consulting services to 26 international companies on about 40 projects.
