Prof. PENG Hui, Deputy Director General of QIBEBT, addressed that the institute is committed to R&D of new energy and green technology in response to the global warming and environmental protection.
Local students from the Ocean University of China and middle schools from Qingdao and Beijing were invited to attend the forum. GUO Chuan (famous Chinese sailor and Clipper 2005-06 Race circumnavigator), Martin Clough (UNICEF Skipper), YANG Zhenbo (UNICEF Specialist for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) and WANG Jia (graduate student from QIBEBT) interacted with the young people and shared their ideas on climate change and low carbon life.
