July 18^th 2014, Prof. Jürgen Caro from Universit？t Hannover was invited to attend “International Expert Seminar” hosted by Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), Chinese Academy of Sciences. A lecture named “Nanoparticles, Nanomaterials Future Technology or Health Risk” was given, which mainly introduced the fabrication of some typical nanomaterials, the application of nanomaterials in separation and catalysis, and potential danger of nanoparticles to human health. More than 100 researchers and students attended the lecture. This forum was hosted by professor LIU Huizhou, director general of QIBEBT. 

During the stay in QIBEBT, Prof. Caro exchanged his experiences with researchers in Membrane Separation and Catalysis Group. The topics include gas separation membrane for oxygen enrichment, biogas purification and vapor permeation membrane for alcohol/water separation, and discussed further cooperation schedule. 

“International Expert Seminar” was launched by QIBEBT from 2013 with the aim to strengthen the academic communication with well-known international scientists and improve the research and innovation expertise via international cooperation.
