On May 28, Dr. Jean-Francois MINSTER, TOTAL S.A Senior VP for Scientific Development, and his New Energy team paid a visit to Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

Professor LU Xuefeng, Deputy director general of QIBEBT met the guests and introduced the development of QIBEBT since its establishment in 2006. Dr. Vincent Schachter, VP of TOTAL New Energy R&D, introduced TOTAL’s R&D in biotechnology and efforts in international cooperation. QIBEBT group leads specified their research areas and achievement in biomass feedstock, biological and green chemical conversion technologies, microalgae energy, novel batteries, thin film solar cells and porous materials.
