Scotland Renewable Energy Team visit QIBEBT
British Council Scotland Deputy Director Ms. Julia Amour leads a 7-person Scotland Renewable Energy team composed of delegates from University of Glasgow, University of Aberdeen, Heriot-Watt University and University of Dundee to visit the QIBEBT on October 22, after the Scotland-Qingdao Renewable Energy Education Seminar held in Qingdao on October 20, 2010.
The Renewable Energy Team discussed cooperative potential in the fields of solar energy and biomass energy. The research staffs from Energy Algae Group, Green Chemocatalysis Group, Thermochemical Conversion Group, and Advanced Functional Materials Group introduce the research progress in each group. Both sides agree to initiate the cooperation by staff exchange and postgraduate joint training, and then try to find appropriate grant funding for research collaboration.
The visit by Scotland Renewable Energy team pays the way to build partnership between the QIBEBT and Scottish universities.
