Organized by TOTAL in China, the 2nd session of TOTAL China Scientific Forum (TCSF) has been held in Suzhou on June 3, 2010.

Professor YANG Renqiang, the group leader of the Advanced Organic Functional Materials of the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was invited to deliver a speech with the title “New Photovoltaic Polymers and Advanced Flexible Plastic Solar Cells”.

15 speakers, from the CAS institutes and the universities like Electronic Engineering Institute, Zhejiang University, Nankai University and Nanchang University, were invited to talk at the Forum in the field of Crystalline Silicon PV Technology, Thin film PV Technology and Organics and Hybrid Technology for Photovoltaics. Around 150 experts from universities, institutes, companies and governments attend the Forum.

TCSF was launched in 2009, aiming to establish a high-level scientific platform for the communication between Chinese researchers and international experts. Special subject will be selected for each session every year. “Advanced Photovoltaic Technology” has been selected as the subject of 2nd TCSF. Crystalline silicon, thin film, organic and hybrid photovoltaic technologies has been shared and discussed.
