On June 2nd 2010, Prof. Michael G Hahn of Bioenergy Science Center, University of Georgia, USA paid a visit to Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology, CAS and gives an excellent lecture on Immunological approaches for plant cell wall and biomass characterization. The seminar is held by Zhou Gongke, head of Energy Plant Resource Group.

Prof. Hahn introduces the research advancement on deciphering plant cell wall compositions and structure using immunological approaches and using glycome profiling technology in screening of high-efficient lingnocellulosic biomass. After the talk, Prof. Hahn has a discussion with relevant researchers and postgraduates of the institute.

After the seminar, Prof. Hahn also visits the new campus and the open laboratory of the institute.
