Roquette North Asia Project vice-Director paid a visit to the QIBEBT on December 17, 2009. Deputy Director Xiaochao Zhao hosted the meeting.

After the organization introductions by both sides, the Group Leader of Green Chemocatalysis Dr. Xindong Mou and Group Leader of Energy Algae Resources Dr. Tianzhong Liu introduced the QIBEBT’s R&D layout and progress in the facet of bio-based chemicals and microalgal research chain. Both parties wish to initiate the cooperation in the field of microalgae, butanol and polyol.

The visit by Roquette aims to explore and promote the R&D and commercialization of high-value biobased products and technologies.
