Prof. Dr. LI Xuebing received his Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the Department of Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich in 2004, majoring in catalytic chemistry. From 2005 to 2007, he did post-doctoral research in the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of California, Berkeley . Then he worked as a senior scientist in the Department of Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich. Since June 2010, he has been a Professor and head of the Heterogeneous Catalytic Conversion Research Group at the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has been engaged in the research on the design and application of solid acids/bases, composite oxides and metal catalysts for many years. He has made some achievements in the fields of solid acid catalysis, multi-component oxide catalysis and metal catalysis active center and catalytic reaction mechanism. Published more than 100 SCI papers and applied for more than 60 national invention patents. At present, he is mainly engaged in the design and improvement of new heterogeneous catalysts and catalytic processes, and the research of heterogeneous catalytic reaction kinetics and mechanism.
