Recently, ThinkTank Hydrogen Energy Association (Germany), Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Qingdao Center for International Trade and Economy Development (CITED) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). It marks the official launch of the preparation for the testing and certification laboratory of the whole hydrogen energy industry chain.
On Jan. 17, the three parties held the first kick-off meeting.
ThinkTank project leader Lutz Bungeroth introduced the overall situation of the project, members and the progress of preparation.
LU Xuefeng, director of QIBEBT expressed that this kick-off meeting is significant to implement the MOU among the three parties and promote the construction of the laboratory.
He emphasized that the global hydrogen energy industry has entered a period of rapid development. The demand for the relevant standardized testing platforms is becoming more urgent. As an important link between industrial and innovative development, hydrogen energy testing is the key to enabling high-quality development of the industrial chain. It is the right time and necessary to cooperate at this period.
ZHAN Liuyi, Director of CITED, proposed that CITED would attach great importance to cooperation with Germany and will provide all aspects of service for the laboratory construction.
The three parties conducted in-depth exchanges on the key tasks for the next step. They agreed to set up a working group as soon as possible to strengthen work planning and promote the implementation of various preparations for the laboratory.
The meeting was chaired by WANG Ziqiang, the Chinese representative of the ThinkTank Hydrogen Energy Association.
