The State of Bavaria – China Office Visited the QIBEBT

On January 22, Ms. LIU Yu, the representative of North and East China from the State of Bavaria - China Office, and her colleague visited the QIBEBT on invitation.
The QIBEBT Science and Technology Department introduced the QIBEBT and the Shandong Energy Institute, and highlighted the information of cooperation with international partners especially with Germany. Ms. LIU Yu introduced the State of Bavaria, the cooperation with the Shandong Province - sister provinces, and focused on the state's recently released hydrogen energy plan and related clusters and alliances. Professor JIANG Heqing, head of the Membrane Separation and Catalysis Research Group, on behalf of the Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Research Laboratory, introduced the QIBEBT’s science and technology layout, research direction, talent team and achievements in the field of hydrogen and fuel cell.
The two parties discussed and reached a preliminary consensus on advancing exchanges and cooperation in hydrogen energy and other fields on the basis of sister-province partnership.
Shandong Province and the State of Bavaria established sister-province relations in 1987. Shandong is Bavaria's partner province with the longest history of cooperation outside of Europe. Over the past 34 years, driven by the close ties between the two governments, the two places have deepened exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, culture, education, health and medicine, environmental protection and energy, and carried out all-round, wide-ranging and multi-level friendly exchanges, which have been recognized as a model of local friendly relations between China and Germany.
