A delegation from Total (China) Investment Co., Ltd., led by Bertrand de La Noue, the general representative of Total in China, visited the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), Chinese Academy of Sciences on Dec 6. LU Xuefeng, the deputy director general of QIBEBT, delivered a welcome message. Bertrand de La Noue also gave remarks on the collaborative projects with QIBEBT, and expected more cooperation on the renewable energy and related pilot tests in the future. 

The meeting was hosted by LIANG Xiangfeng, the director of Science and Technology Department of QIBEBT, who also introduced the history and key achievements of QIBEBT in the last decade. Zhonghua XU, the chief science representative of Total (China), gave a presentation on the R&D strategy of Total in China and the rest of the world. Three scientists from QIBEBT (LIU Tianzhong, XU Huifang, and CAO Yujin) delivered scientific reports in varying fields to the visitors, respectively.  

After a warm discussion, the delegation members were invited to visit the QIBEBT Exhibition Hall to learn more about the institute's strategy and layout. This visit is expected to facilitate further collaborations between Total and QIBEBT.
