A Korean Techonology Survey Delegation, led by Jun-bae LEE, the director of Science & Technology Policy Bureau and Science & Technology Strategy Division within the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP) of the Republic of Korea, visited the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), Chinese Academy of Sciences on Nov 3. REN Chunxiao, an associate professor from International Science and Technology Exchange Center of Shandong Province, also attended the meeting. 

QIBEBT was selected as one of the good examples for China’s regional R&D innovation policy by MSIP, and the purpose of the delegation's visit is to research the good example and deduce a result to improve current paradigm in Korea. The overview of QIBEBT was presented by XIN Hongchuan, the deputy director of the Science and Technology Department of QIBEBT. After the presentation, the Korean guests and QIBEBT researchers started a warm discussion over the status of bioenergy R&D trends, technology transfer policy, and institution's services to local economy in QIBEBT and China as well.
