SUN Honghang, the Deputy Director of the Division of Asia and Africa of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China, and ZHAO Huibin, the Vice Director of the Division of Technical Science of the Bureau of Sciences and Education, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), CAS on Apr 28.  

The meeting was hosted by LIANG Xiangfeng, the Deputy Director of Science and Technology Department of QIBEBT. PENG Hui, the Deputy Director General of QIBEBT, warmly welcomed the guests and highly appreciated the substantial supports from MOST and CAS in the past decade since the establishment of QIBEBT. Three presentations were then delivered by XU Jian (the Director of the Bioenergy Division), CUI Guanglei (the Director of the Applied Energy Technology Division), and XIAN Mo (the Director of the Biobased Materials Division), who gave detailed introduction of each division's key R&D progress within last five years. Accordingly, SUN Honghang and ZHAO Huibin raised specific perspectives based on the national strategy and CAS' mission, respectively, and encouraged QIBEBT to move forward persistently and wisely. PENG Hui thanked the directors for their straightforward and inspiring suggestions and guidance. 

The MOST and CAS division directors' visit will definitely promote QIBEBT to have a good start in the new round of national and international innovations.
