QIBEBT's Pretty Big Leap on Table of Nature Index 2015 China
Nature Index 2015 China was released on Dec 17 based on data from the Nature Index, covering articles published during three consecutive years between Jan 1, 2012 and Dec 31, 2014. The Nature Index provides absolute counts of publication productivity at the institutional and national level and, as such, is one indicator of global high-quality research output.
Among the top 200 institutions in the table of Nature Index 2015 China, Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), ranked 130th. More excitingly, the QIBEBT's weighted fractional count (WFC) 2014 increased by 213.9%, as compared to WFC 2013. As a primary metric, WFC provides a more even basis for comparison across multiple disciplines, and in determining the relative contribution of each institution. Among over 100 CAS' institutions, QIBEBT already climbed onto top 40 in this table.
Young QIBEBT (established in September 2006) is expected to have even bigger leaps in the future.
