Prof. SHEN Jiangnan from Zhejiang University of Technology was invited to visit Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), Chinese Academy of Sciences on October 15.  

Prof. SHEN gave a presentation titled “Overview of Wastewater Valorization and Treatment”. In the lecture, Prof. SHEN reviewed the integrated membrane processes in water resources, chemical industries and refinery industries. The talk also introduced the current status of membrane technologies and processes and the practical engineering cases treated by membrane processes. The talk was hosted by Prof. ZHANG Yang, Group Leader of Waste Valorization and Water Reuse Group of QIBEBT.  

After the presentation, Prof. SHEN exchanged his ideas with the researchers at QIBEBT, which laid good foundation for potential collaboration between Zhejiang University of Technology and QIBEBT in near future.
