WANG Qinglin, Deputy Director General of Department of International Affairs of China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), visited Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), Chinese Academy of Sciences on June 3. Project Director WANG Chenchen from China International Conference Center for Science and Technology (CICCST), and President HU Xin, Vice-president WANG Jun, and Director of International Department PANG Benhua from Qingdao Association of Science and Technology (QAST) also attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Prof. LU Xuefeng, Deputy Director General of QIBEBT. 

LU Xuefeng gave a brief overview of QIBEBT and international exchanges and technology collaboration at QIBEBT. WANG Qinglin fully affirmed the achievements of QIBEBT, emphasized the cooperation of QIBEBT with international organizations, and discussed how to establish effective channels of communication between CAST/QAST and QIBEBT under the “new normal”. Leaders from CAST and QAST pledged to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with QIBEBT in the future.
