Prof. Kiyoshi Kanamura Visits QIBEBT
Prof. Kiyoshi Kanamura from Tokyo Metropolitan University Japan was invited by Interphase Technology for Energy Materials Group to attend the QIBEBT International Expert Forum on October 10th.
Prof. Kanamura presented his research entitled as “New Generation Batteries”. In his presentation, he talked about the all solid state batteries as next generation batteries with high safety and energy density. His presentation focused on the recent progress on the materials technology, the design of interphase contact and devices with three-dimensionally ordered macroporous structure for increasing interphase contact to decrease contact impedance. He also pointed out that the promising Li7LaZr2O2 explored as a solid electrolyte in his lab is stable with the Li metal. Following his talk, the audience had a hot discussion with Prof. Kanamura regarding the details in next generation batteries.
During the period at QIBEBT, professor Kanamura had a discussion with other groups about the future collaboration in the research on energy conversion and storage devices. Professor Hui Peng, QIBEBT Deputy Director General, received professor Kanamura and attended this meeting.
