Prof. Ed Bayer from Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, invited by Profs XU Jian and CUI Qiu visited QIBEBT on 1st Nov 2011. This visit was supported under the China-Israel Joint Research Program awarded to Profs. Bayer and XU in 2009. During the visit, Prof. Bayer gave a presentation with the title”Cellulosome: History, Mystery and the China Connection”. The joint research team reviewed the progress of the research collaboration and discussed the research plan for the coming year. This visit laid the foundation for future collaborations between these two organizations.
