1. Introduction
The 10th International Symposium on Catalysis in Multiphase Reactors (CAMURE-10) and the 9th International Symposium on Multifunctional Reactors (ISMR-9) will be held at Huanghai Hotel from July 7 to July 10 2017 in Qingdao, China. For the first time the CAMURE & ISMR meeting will be held in China. The conference will be organized by the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and co-organized by the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), CAS.
The theme of CAMURE-10 & ISMR-9 is “Advanced Catalysis and Green Chemical Reactor Engineering for Sustainable Process Industries”.The main objective of the CAMURE & ISMR series is to provide opportunities for scientists and engineers, working on the design of novel catalysts, catalytic processes and reactors, chemical kinetics, heat and mass transfer, hydrodynamics and reactor modeling, to exchange their knowledge and ideas, and to renew their friendship.
2. Application Guidelines
2.1 Abstract Submission
Abstracts must be submitted online. Please follow the rules and guidelines (see the Special Issue below) before submitting your abstracts. Each section will focus on specific topics for oral presentations and posters selected from the abstracts submitted. When you submit abstracts, please show your intention for oral presentations or posters.
2.2 Special Issue
Selected abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper to be published in a special issue of Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering (JNGSE) or Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering (CJChE) both published by Elsevier. This issue will cover topics of interest related to natural gas and its associated products that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Catalytic multiphase reactor
Multifunctional reactor
High performance catalysts
New reactor configuration
Industrial reactor operation practice
Reaction engineering fundamentals
CFD evaluation of reactor design
Micro/mini reactor and separator
Energy saving and CO2 emission reduction
Efficient utilization of fossil fuel
Efficient utilization of biomass
Catalysis and reactor for alternative energy such as solar energy
2.3 Schedule
The special issue will follow standard procedures during the editorial phase for editors, guest editors and authors. The following schedule will apply for submission, review and the publication of articles to be evaluated for inclusion in this special issue:
Submission of 500-word extended abstracts by January 31, 2017 to the Guest Editors:
Prof. Chao Yang, chaoyang@ipe.ac.cn
Prof. Zai-Sha Mao, zsmao@ipe.ac.cn
Assoc. Prof. Xin Feng, xfeng@ipe.ac.cn
The guest editors will complete an evaluation of the extended abstracts and will invite authors of accepted abstracts to develop full papers by March 31, 2017.
The invited authors should submit complete, peer-review-ready papers via Elsevier’s EES system (see the Notes below) from July 1 to October 1, 2017.
The review/revision process will begin as soon as possible after submission with reviews and editorial recommendations returned to authors by February 1, 2018.
Revised author manuscripts should be submitted by March 1, 2018.
Final acceptance deadline with editorial decisions/amendments on revised papers to be announced to authors by April 1, 2018.
Submission of final versions of accepted manuscripts including required editorial amendments by May 1, 2018
Tentative online publication of an accepted paper in the virtual special issue of CAMURE-10 and ISMR-9 will be no later than Jun 1, 2018, and the special issue window will be closed at the same date.
All manuscripts accepted for the virtual special issue will be assigned a unique identifier and published promptly in regular printed issues, potentially in advance of the deadlines mentioned here. The collection of all accepted articles will also be compiled into an online virtual special issue, introduced by the guest editors, when all those accepted articles have been published online.
Notes:
After submission of the abstracts and provision of feedback from the special volume guest editors, the selected authors will be invited to prepare and submit complete papers for potential publication in the special issue.
All papers should be developed, formatted and submitted based upon the editorial guidelines provided in the instructions for authors for “Journal Natural Gas Science and Engineering, which can be accessed from Elsevier’s EES system website (http://ees.elsevier.com/jngse/). The Journal Natural Gas Science and Engineering has an Impact Factor of 2.157 as of 2015.
Upon receipt of the completed documents, a minimum of two or three independent reviewers will be selected to provide peer reviews for each document. All submitted manuscripts will be vetted to reject those containing plagiarized content and/or sub-publication-standard English. Upon receipt and acceptance of the author’s revised documents, the papers will be published in this special issue of the Journal Natural Gas Science and Engineering. Final decisions on manuscripts will be taken by the Editor-in-Chief following guidance from the guest editors.
Authors are also invited to contact the guest editors to discuss ideas and suggestions for suitable topics in advance of the January 31st, 2017 abstract submission deadline.
