    Introduction of Lecturer: 

    Prof. Dr. SALEEM FAROOQ SHAUKAT is presently the Director of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Sahiwal, Pakistan, and also the visiting scientist at QIBEBT via CAS President's International Fellowship Initiative. Prof. Shaukat completed his Ph.D. at Brunel University (London) in 1998 and worked as Post Doc Research Fellow in East China University of Science & Technology (China) from 1999 to 2002. Since 2015, he became the Head of Academics & Research, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. His main research interest focuses on optoelectronics, optical networks, and thermal barrier coating and blue energy / water salinity Gradient. So far, Dr. Shaukat has published more than 50 papers on a number of scientific journals and supervised 37 projects.

    The lecture will focus on blue energy / water Salinity Gradient, and also include the brief introduction on COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
